🌿 *Devotional Thought*

We live in a highly competitive world where hundreds of people apply for a handful of positions. Infact even being shortlisted is considered an achievement. In such an environment, favour gives you an undeniable edge. Whether it is a job, a contract, or any opportunity, favour positions you above others not necessarily because of qualifications alone, but because God is working on your behalf.

One of the simplest definitions of favour is that favour is God working on behalf of a man. When favour is at work, it is no longer a matter of man competing with man, it becomes God working for you. And no one can compete with God and win.

I remember in 2014, when I was starting ministry and had no steady income, I decided to apply for jobs. I went for an interview at a pharmaceutical company where many candidates had gathered.

During the interview, I noticed that even the interviewers were impressed by my responses. As I left the room, I said within myself that I was the one chosen and that everyone else was simply fulfilling procedure.

Later, they called to inform me that I had been selected. I was not surprised, because I understand how favour works. Whenever I go for an interview, I do not say I am going to be interviewed, instead I say I am going to take the job. That is the mindset of favour.

We also see this in scripture with David. In 1 Kings 16:18 - 22, David was called to play music for the king, even though he was not the only musician in the land, nor was he the most experienced. Despite being chosen he was also elevated to become the king’s armour-bearer. That is favour producing success in competitions.

I declare over you that in every interview, you are chosen; in every application, you stand out; and in every competition, you win in the name of Jesus. You are not going to be interviewed, you are going to take the position.

*The Power of Divine Selection*

I recall a story shared by one of my mentors. During a service, a declaration was made that the clothes people were wearing at that moment would carry favour in any interview they attended. One man was dressed casually in a T-shirt, jeans, and sandals. Later, he was called for an interview and remembered the declaration. He wore the same outfit, even though others were dressed formally. At the end of the process, he was the one selected.

That is the power of favour, it overrides natural expectations. I stand and declare over your life, the next interview you attend, you are the one they will pick. You are not going to try, and you are not going to struggle but you are going to win in the name of Jesus.

🔑 *Key Thought*

When God is on your side, competition is no longer a threat, it is a platform. It is a stage for favour to be displayed and for God to be glorified in your life.

🙏 *Prayer*

Father thank you for no one can successfully stand against me for You are with me. Lord may Your favour single me out among many. Thank You Father for the victory in every competition. In the name of Jesus. Amen!

🗣️ *Confession*

I am not competing in my own strength, God is competing for me. Favour gives me an edge that qualifications alone cannot produce. In every interview, I am the chosen one.

In every application, I stand out. In every competitive process, I win.

I do not go to be considered, I go to be selected.

I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.

No one can outrun the favour of God upon my life.

I enter every competition already victorious, in the name of Jesus!
